Overview
By participating in Bookpay's Refer & Earn program (the "Referral Program"), you, as the Referring Artist or Referred Artist (each as defined below), agree to be bound by these Refer & Earn Program Terms and Conditions (these "Referral Terms"). Bookpay is a product operated by INKJIN PRIVATE COMPANY ("Inkjin," "we," "us," or "our"), a private company (IKE) registered in Greece at 332 Kifisias Avenue, Chalandri, 15233, Attica, Tax ID 803292939, General Commercial Registry (GEMI) No. 193959701000. Your participation in the Referral Program is also subject to your compliance with the Bookpay Artist Terms of Use and Inkjin's Privacy Policy.
1. Referral Program Summary
The Referral Program allows an existing Bookpay artist (the "Referring Artist") to earn a cash reward by referring another tattoo artist to join Bookpay using a valid referral link, provided that referral results in a Qualifying Referral (as defined below). The newly referred artist (the "Referred Artist") also receives a benefit under this program, as set out below.
2. Qualifying Criteria and Referral Link
Referring Artist Qualifying Criteria. The Referring Artist:
has an active Bookpay artist account in good standing at the time the reward is paid;
is and remains in compliance with these Referral Terms and the Bookpay Artist Terms of Use; and
is not the same natural person as the Referred Artist, and is not using the Referral Program to refer an account they own or control, whether directly or through a studio, business partner, family member, or other affiliated party.
Referred Artist Qualifying Criteria. The Referred Artist:
is a new Bookpay artist who does not have an existing Bookpay account;
signs up using the Referring Artist's unique referral link (
bookpay.inkjin.com/r/[username]); andis and remains in compliance with these Referral Terms and the Bookpay Artist Terms of Use.
Qualifying Referral. A referral qualifies for a reward once all of the following conditions are met:
the Referring Artist and Referred Artist each meet the criteria above;
the Referred Artist signed up for Bookpay via the Referring Artist's referral link; and
a client completes a booking with the Referred Artist on Bookpay (i.e. the booking reaches "completed" status and the associated funds have settled to the Referred Artist).
Every Qualifying Referral is subject to review and verification by Inkjin. All decisions regarding rewards, Qualifying Referrals, and continued participation in the Referral Program are at Inkjin's sole discretion.
3. Earning Rewards
For each Qualifying Referral:
The Referring Artist earns $20 USD (or the equivalent in their local payout currency), paid directly to the Stripe Connect account already associated with their Bookpay artist account.
The Referred Artist receives their client's booking fee waived on their first completed booking, applied automatically at signup via the referral link — no action is required from the Referred Artist to receive this benefit.
There is no cap on the number of Qualifying Referrals a Referring Artist may earn rewards for, and no expiration on how long a referral relationship remains eligible — a Referring Artist is paid whenever their Referred Artist's first booking completes, however long after signup that takes.
If a prospective Referred Artist is referred by more than one Referring Artist (for example, by clicking more than one referral link before signing up), only the referral link most recently used before signup will be credited. The non-credited Referring Artist will not receive a reward for that signup and will not see that individual reflected in their own referral activity.
4. Payment of Rewards
Rewards earned under this Referral Program are paid in cash via Stripe Connect, not as account credit. Rewards are not redeemable for any purpose other than direct payment, are non-transferable, and may not be sold, exchanged, or combined with any other Bookpay promotion except where we expressly state otherwise.
Each Referring Artist and Referred Artist is solely responsible for any taxes associated with amounts received under this Referral Program. Inkjin does not withhold taxes on your behalf and is not responsible for determining your tax obligations arising from your participation.
5. Restrictions; Suspension and Termination
Your participation in the Referral Program is subject to your compliance with these Referral Terms, the Bookpay Artist Terms of Use, and all applicable laws. Without limiting the foregoing, when participating in the Referral Program you may not:
refer yourself, an account you own or control, or an account belonging to a business partner, studio-mate, or family member, for the purpose of earning a reward for that referral;
create or use fraudulent, duplicate, or "dummy" accounts to generate Qualifying Referrals;
misrepresent your relationship with Bookpay, the nature of the reward, or your experience using Bookpay when sharing your referral link;
distribute your referral link via spam, mass messaging to people you do not know, or automated/bot systems; or
pay any third party (including a professional affiliate marketer) to promote your referral link.
We reserve the right to withhold, reverse, or reclaim a reward, and to suspend or terminate an artist's participation in the Referral Program, if we determine — in our sole discretion, using account verification data already collected as part of standard Bookpay onboarding — that a referral is fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise inconsistent with these Referral Terms. Where a referral is flagged for this reason, we will review it before any reward is paid; a flag alone is not a determination of wrongdoing, and an artist may contact support if they believe a referral was wrongly withheld or reversed.
6. Updates to These Referral Terms
We may modify these Referral Terms at any time. If we make a material change, we will post the updated version or otherwise notify affected artists as required by law. Continued participation in the Referral Program after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of that change. We may also suspend or end the Referral Program, in whole or in part, at any time.
