Cancelling a Tattoo Booking — Refunds & What to Expect

Updated over a month ago

We want booking tattoos on Inkjin to feel safe and fair. Here’s what happens if you cancel or miss an appointment.

Cancellations

  • Each artist sets their own cancellation deadline (e.g. 24h, 48h, 72h).

  • If you cancel before the deadline, you get a full refund of what you paid.

  • If you cancel after the deadline, your deposit is non-refundable.

  • If the artist cancels, you get a full refund of what you paid.

Rescheduling

Each artist sets their own reschedule policy (for example: never, once, twice, or unlimited).

  • If you reschedule within the artist’s allowed limit and before their cancellation deadline, your booking simply moves to the new date without any penalty.

  • If you try to reschedule after the cancellation deadline or more times than the artist allows, it will be treated as a cancellation, and the artist’s cancellation policy will apply.

  • If the artist needs to reschedule, they will send you a request to choose a new time for your appointment.

Refunds

  • Deposit only: Refunded in full if you cancel before the deadline. Not refunded if you cancel after.

  • Full payment:

    • Refunded in full if you cancel before the deadline.

    • If you cancel after the deadline, the deposit is kept by the artist, and the remaining balance is refunded to you.

  • Booking fee: Inkjin’s small booking fee is always refunded.

No-Shows

  • If you don’t show up, your artist keeps the deposit.

  • Any prepaid balance (beyond the deposit) is refunded to you.

Key Point: Deposits protect your artist’s time. If you cancel early, you’ll always get your money back.
