Let’s say Maria is a tattoo artist, and Alex is a client who wants a custom tattoo — something designed just for him.
Step 1: Alex Sends a Request
Alex visits Maria’s booking page and chooses “Request a Custom Tattoo.”
He fills out Maria’s booking form with details:
Style (eg. Old School)
Size (eg. upper arm, half sleeve)
Color (eg. Black and Gray)
Placement (eg. right arm)
Image References (uploads images)
A description or ideas he wants Maria to consider
Step 2: Maria Reviews the Request
Maria receives Alex’s request in her Inkjin dashboard.
She reviews the details and estimates the tattoo will take about 6 hours.
She sets the price at £800 and requires either:
A £200 deposit now, or
The full £800 upfront, depending on Alex’s choice.
Maria decides a consultation is needed to go over placement and design.
Step 3: Consultation (Artist-Initiated, Always Free)
Because Maria (tattoo artists) requested it, the consultation is free.
She sends Alex one booking link that includes:
A short consultation appointment (30 minutes, in-person or online).
The tattoo session (6 hours, £800 total).
Alex books both at the same time.
Step 4: Payment
If Alex pays a deposit only:
He pays £200 online via card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Klarna.
He pays the remaining £600 directly to Maria on the tattoo day.
If Alex pays in full:
He pays £800 online in one go.
There’s no balance due on tattoo day — Alex just shows up.
Step 5: Booking Confirmed
Inkjin automatically blocks both the consultation slot and the tattoo session in Maria’s calendar.
Alex receives a confirmation email with:
Consultation date & time
Tattoo appointment details
Payment receipt (deposit or full amount)
Any preparation instructions (eat beforehand, avoid alcohol, bring ID)
✅ Why This Works
For Maria (artist): She gets clarity and commitment — deposit or full payment secured — before investing design time.
For Alex (client): He chooses what works best: just a deposit now, or full payment upfront for peace of mind. Either way, the consultation (if required) is always free.
